In mid-August, the largest sports event of the year will be taking place: the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics berlin 2009™. To celebrate this highlight in proper style, the Olympic Stadium, the venue for athletic competitions, will be temporarily duplicated for the world of the arts – with a model stadium, the KulturStadion^®

Under the motto "The Body – the Art of Movement", the festival will be presenting an international programme consisting of concerts, dance, comedy, informational and cooking shows, the daily "IAAF Hour" and much more.

The entire square will become a stage: street artists from the group "Berlin Lacht!" will entrance the audience, and the DLV "BewegungsModule" (Movement Module) will encourage spectators to become participants. In addition, World Championship competitions will also be taking place at the Brandenburg Gate on five days of the event.

The festival in the KulturStadion^® will take place daily from August 14 – 23 starting at 2 p.m. and is free of charge.
